Bnei Menashe have begun to arrive on Aliyah

editor - 4 June 2021

In light of the dire situation in India due to Covid-19, the Government of Israel recently approved an urgent plan to bring 548 Bnei Menashe Olim (immigrants) to Israel. The Bnei Menashe are descendants of the tribe of Manasseh, one of the Ten Lost Tribes exiled from the Land of Israel more than 2,700 years ago by the Assyrian Empire.

The recent government decision was originally promoted by the Minister of Aliyah and Integration, MK Pnina Tameno-Shato. This week 160 Bnei Menashe landed at Ben Gurion Airport and are in quarantine in accordance with Israel’s Ministry of Health restrictions and the Home Front Command. They will spend the first three months in Israel in designated absorption centers that are operated by Shavei Israel.

This emergency operation is in full-swing! Christians for Israel is partnering with Shavei Israel, led by Michael Freund, to help the Bnei Menashe home to Israel. If you’d like to be a part of it you can make a donation. Your donation will help bring Bnei Menashe who have been waiting to make Aliyah for many years, as well as ensure a smooth and easy absorption process.

Costs to help one person to Israel: € 900 or US $ 1000.
