Zaka

When the inhabitants of Israel are attacked and lives are taken or in need of immediate medical assistance, Zaka volunteers are among the first to arrive on the scene. They are a first-aid response and rescue team whose members are trained and devoted to saving lives whenever possible or to ensure that those who die are treated with dignity in death. In Zaka’s view, all persons are made in the image of God and should be treated equally regardless of their religion, creed or color.
